Pay as you learn, Intensive and Semi-Intensive Driving Courses
Below is a brief description of the types of courses that we offer. Please see prices page for course prices. All of our courses are on a 1-2-1 basis, so no car sharing and no dropping the last pupil off at home or work, the time in the car is yours.......100%
Pay as you learn
This type of driving course is the most advertised and most popular. You simply pay for your lessons by the hourly rate as and when you have them. We also offer 90 minute lessons (which is our most popular lesson time) as well as 2 hour lessons. We recommend the 90 minute lesson as it just the right amount of time behind the wheel before you start to get a little 'brain fade'. These type of lessons are usually taken once or twice a week and generally take the longest period to reach driving test standard. The beauty of this type of course is there are no upfront costs. Nice and easy, pay as you go.
Intensive Courses
So, what is an intensive course?
**Please be aware that to book a driving test you will have to first pass your theory test**
An intensive course is usually the fast track method of gaining your driving licence. But BEWARE it is not for the fainthearted or timid, you will generally spend 3-4 hours at a time behind the wheel somewhere around 4 times a week (we do stop for a stretch of the legs occasionally) and is usually taken over a 2-4 week period. You will need a fair bit of spare time to take this course. These courses are tailored to suit the individual and their capabilities so times may vary, we also have to take into consideration the instructor availability.
Semi-Intensive Courses
So, what is a semi-intensive course?
Ok, now this course is a more relaxed, slightly longer approach to gaining your licence but is still a fast track approach. You will generally have the 90 minute lessons 3-5 times a week over a 6-10 week period. This course would suit a wide range of clients and would fit around college, work and school runs. These courses are tailored to suit the individual and their capabilities so times may vary, we also have to take into consideration the instructor availability. You and your instructor can discuss when to book your theory test.

For both types of intensive courses test times will vary depending on the time of year, around July, August and September it is not uncommon to wait for a test for up to 9 weeks. Courses do not include any DSA test fees and are payable by you when booking with the DSA direct. All intensive courses do not include the 2 hours car hire for the driving test (1 hour pre-test lesson + 1 hour test hire), this must be paid separately on the day. All intensive courses are exempt from any other special offers as the prices for these courses are of a fixed price nature.
